When a Skateistan staff member first encountered a group of young girls in a Kabul park in December 2009, she had no way of knowing that one of them would go on to become one of Afghanistan’s best skaters, and Skateistan’s most enthusiastic instructor, not to mention a natural artist. This is Farana’s story.
Skatistan is an international NGO connecting youth and education through skateboarding in Afghanistan and Cambodia.
